Sycamore House

Sometimes a project brief is as simple as delivering a pre-formed client vision that has already been many years in development.

In the case of Sycamore House our client had pondered for many years the possibility of building a new property on the front garden of his existing family home. Our initial reaction to this enquiry, β€œin the front garden?!”, was one echoed by neighbours, planning officers, and local interest groups in the initial stages of the project. As the weeks went by and our designs developed, a clear picture began to come into focus as to how this might actually work, and within the course of the planning application we were able to demonstrate how a much needed new family home could sit comfortably within the existing street scene.
