The Gables

We were really pleased to be able to help our client who felt trapped with a two-bedroom bungalow on a very sizeable green belt site.

With a cap on the amount of extensions preventing any meaningful development, our design sought to side-step the limitations by maximising the potential of the “permitted development” rights on the property. The large open plan family room and kitchen includes plateau roof lights and apex glazing, creating visual links to the gardens and maintaining great levels of natural light throughout. This project was awarded first prize in the extension category of the 2017 local authority awards, and was runner up in the national finals.
